It records the opportunity against your organization on the date submitted. Where a second partner later approaches the same account, the registered entry is what gets referenced.
It carries no commitment to buy and does not oblige you to close. Register early, since the protection attaches to the record rather than to the outcome.

How early can I register
As soon as there is a named organization and a real conversation. A first meeting is enough.
What if the customer already knows GEODI
Say so in the detail field. Prior contact gets worked out on the record rather than assumed either way.
Does registering commit my customer
No. It records who is working the account and carries no obligation on either side.
What happens after acknowledgment
A short call to agree how the opportunity runs, including whether it makes sense to co-sell.
Can I register outside my usual territory
Yes, across Canada, the United States and Mexico. Coverage is confirmed as part of acknowledgment.
