Privacy policy

This covers geodi.ca, the website. It does not describe how the GEODI software handles data inside a customer deployment, which is governed by the agreement for that deployment.

Three forms, and what each one collects

Three forms on this site collect information, and each one collects only what the reply needs.

What is never asked for

No form on this site asks for payment details, government identifiers, health information or credentials for any of your systems. Please do not include real customer records or regulated data in a message field.

Who processes it, and where

Form submissions are delivered by Web3Forms, a third party form processing service. Your submission passes through their infrastructure, which sits outside Canada, before arriving in our mailbox. Nothing you send through a form on this site is stored in a database on this website.

If your organization cannot send an enquiry through a processor located outside Canada, email info@geodi.ca directly instead.

How long it is kept, and what you can ask for

Retention

Enquiries are kept while the conversation is active and for as long afterwards as a business record requires. Registered opportunities are kept for the life of the partner relationship, since the registration date is what the protection rests on.

Access and correction

Ask for a copy of what is held about you, or for a correction, by emailing info@geodi.ca. We respond inside the timeframe the applicable law sets.

Deletion

Ask and it gets deleted, other than anything a legal or contractual obligation requires keeping. We will say plainly which items fall into that category.

Marketing

Details submitted through a form are used to answer that enquiry. They are not sold, and they are not added to a marketing list without you asking for one.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or profiling cookies. Any cookie present comes from the consent tool or from standard hosting infrastructure.

Children

This is a business to business site. It is not directed at children and no form on it is intended to collect information from one.

Which rules apply

Enquiries from Canada are handled under PIPEDA, and under Quebec Law 25 where the person is in Quebec. Enquiries from the United States are handled under the state privacy statute that applies to the person submitting, and enquiries from Mexico under the LFPDPPP, including ARCO rights.

Where two sets of rules reach the same submission, the one giving the stronger protection is the one followed.
